Greenpower Mobility: What's New? No One Is Talking About

Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Greenpower develops and builds, as well as distributes a full suite of low-floor and high-floor all-electric heavy and medium-duty vehicles. This includes school buses, transit buses, cargo buses, buses for cargo and shuttles.

EV Star is a zero-emission vehicle that has a high degree of customisation. It's also FTA certified and Buy America compliant. It offers class-leading range, ADA wheelchair provisions, and cargo delivery setups.

GreenPower Motor Company produces a full line of high-floor as well as low-floor all-electric heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicles. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, which can accommodate many different body designs and upgrades for a variety of applications. The platform's design is based on a simple paper sheet, which allows for optimum placement of the battery pack and a lower center-of-gravity. This leads to better payload/range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX is designed to serve mid-to-last mile refrigerated delivery and catering applications.  Full File  refrigerated truck's class 4 configuration's one wall structure in the interior and higher insulation levels compared to traditional trucks allows for seamless sanitation, improved temperature control, and a longer life. The EV Star REEFERX delivers superior cargo capacity and a top payload-to-range ratio for zero-emission goods and passenger transportation.

GreenPower has partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems that will enable fleets to easily move to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be able of wireless charging up to 75 kW.

We were capable of testing the EV9 on a local highway for several hours, and found it easy to drive, and comfortable to drive long distances. The EV9 can be used to block the sound of traffic and wind driving along the highway. It glides effortlessly over ruts and humps. The acceleration of the vehicle is astonishingly quick, and it has adjustable regenerative brakes that allow "one-pedal driving" simply by lifting off the accelerator.

The EV9 has a great range and can be fully charged in about three hours at home or with any commercial charger. The driver can select from two operating modes: eco mode and sport mode. Eco mode focuses on torque and cruise control, while the sport mode is designed to maximize speed and handling. Both are fun to drive and provide an unique experience for those who have never driven an electric vehicle before.

GreenPower provides a variety of other EVs, including a multipurpose all-electric minibus dubbed the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA-compliant and can be used as executive shuttles, microtransit or transit buses, vanpools, or paratransit vehicles.

GreenPower is already producing around 10 EV Star buses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is working to replace their fleet of older diesel vehicles with 100 fully electric vehicles. With the Biden Administration looking to electrify school buses across the country, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet the demand. Their EV Star bus is the first of its kind to be tested by Altoona and FMVSS-certified. Buy America compliant and ADA conforming. This means they'll be eligible for federal transit assistance grants. Stay tuned as we follow the AV Star on its tour of demonstration later in the year. We will share more details about this revolutionary EV.
